Title: Assistant Superintendent

Assignment: Victory Links Golf Course (VLGC) and NSC Athletic Fields

Reports to: Manager of Agronomy & Grounds Operations

Supervises: Equipment Operators

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• -          Assists in overseeing grounds maintenance operations throughout campus
• -          Assists in planning and scheduling work
• -          Assists in supervising and training of part-time staff
• -          Assists in developing short and long range goals
• -          Plans and executes all maintenance and project work
• -          Assists in irrigation repair and spray applications
• -          Evaluate how well maintenance standards are being achieved
• -          Responsible for maintaining cost control
• -          Keeps accurate and complete records on inventory, maintenance procedures, pesticide applications, irrigation, etc.
• -          Maintains open lines of communication with Manager of Agronomy & Grounds Operations, Golf Course Superintendent, and Superintendent of Fields & Grounds

Required Skills:

• -          Current pesticide license and knowledge of safety and environmental standards, laws, and regulations
• -          Knowledge of agronomy and turfgrass management practices
• -          Project and construction management experience
• -          Ability to work collaboratively across Campus Operations Department

Experience: Minimum of a two-year agronomy or turfgrass degree

Salary: $54,732.27 - $64,177.89/Year
