GPS and Variable Rate Spray Applications

There are so many technologies being offered on sprayers today. Find out which technologies are actually worth it!

Chase Straw – Assistant Professor, Turfgrass Management and Physiology at Texas A&M University

Precision Turfgrass Management – Current Trends and Future Applications:

The turfgrass management industry is under increasing public pressure to improve environmental impacts by reducing management inputs. The concept of precision turfgrass management (PTM) is a viable strategy to achieve reductions by making management input applications only where, when, and in the amount needed. PTM currently relies heavily on new management approaches and technologies for identifying variability and implementing variable-rate or site-specific applications. This presentation will introduce the concept of PTM and provide an overview of current trends and technologies that can be used for PTM at your facility. Future applications of PTM will also be discussed.

Zeke Hurd - Pegasus Environmental

Introduction To Pegasus Environmental Services

Zeke will discuss his experiences with Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Electromagnetic Induction (EMI) in the golf and sports turf markets. Sometimes a turf problem can be directly related to the soil types or structure. These technologies help pinpoint problems and create opportunities to correct an issue once and for all.

Gary Hinton – President of GreyHawk

Introduction to GreyHawk Services and Software

GreyHawk President Gary Hinton will introduce and share the invaluable data insights, available only through the GreyHawk software Platform. GreyHawk’s data collection capabilities range from soil moisture, Aerial NDVI, and Thermal among others. The Greyhawk software is built specifically for turf to show visual representations of all the data they collect. With these maps, a turf manager can more effectively make decisions regarding water management and pesticide applications. The software includes a task manager as well for assigning/tracking projects across the property.
