Lake Wissota Golf and Events is accepting resumes for the Assistant Superintendent position.

Lake Wissota Golf is located in beautiful Chippewa Falls Wisconsin and is situated right along the Chippewa River. Lake Wissota is a semi private / daily fee 18 hole golf course. This position will be given the opportunity to work closely with the director of golf maintenance developing, implementing, and caring out all of the cultural and agronomics practices.

The position will also be apart of the process to reopen Tanglewood Greens in Menomonie Wisconsin. A daily fee 18 hole public golf course. The course has been closed since 2019. Tanglewood greens is undergoing a new irrigation system installation and other extensive upgrades. This position will be an integral part in assisting the director and the assistant superintendent at Tanglewood to achieve the expected opening date in July. 

The right candidate will have the desire to take ownership of developing short and long term goals for both golf courses. They are highly attentive to details, and have the knowledge to improve efficiencies to help the overall performance of the operation. It is important this person has a passion for the game of golf and has the ability to prioritize their responsibilities.

Educational Requirements

 2 or 4 year turf management degree preferred

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years golf course maintenance experience with a working knowledge of irrigation repair, equipment operation, and fertilizer/pesticide application
•  Possess or obtain Wisconsin pesticide applicators license
•  Valid driver’s license
•  Experience with supervision of staff
•  Individual must be self-motivated
