Looking for a unique, resume building opportunity?  Royal Golf Club in Lake Elmo, MN is seeking a Technician/Assistant in Training who is an enthusiastic, motivated individual looking for experience to help in career advancement.  This can be a full-time year-round position.  Royal Golf Club opened in 2018.  In our short history we have hosted the 3M Pro Am which featured legendary golfers such as Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Annika Sorenstam.  We also host the Annika Intercollegiate which features the highest ranked field in all of women’s collegiate golf. We continue to host events with our partners, the Minnesota Wild as well as the Hobey Baker Award.   As the last golf course design of Arnold Palmer and the first in the United States for Annika Sorenstam, RGC is a one-of-a-kind facility.  The individual who accepts this opportunity will be involved in all projects and processes required to maintain and establish turf surfaces on the golf course.    

Duties include but are not limited to:

Fertilizer and pesticide applications and calibration.

Irrigation programming, repair and monitoring.

Crew training, scheduling and management.

Works directly with Superintendent, Assistant Superintendents and Equipment Manager.

Anything and everything required to maintain course conditions and functions.

Requirements:

Possess or have the ability to obtain an MDA pesticide applicators license.

Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Experience:  Two or four-year degree in Turf Management or related field.
